I AM FEST 2009, 2010, 2011

I started out in the music scene by asking Brian Bender if I could intern at the Elbo Room, taking pictures of the bands there on the weekends. Three years and three I AM FESTs later, I now work as an in-house photographer at the House of Blues for Live Nation, a food photographer for Seamless, and have started my own business. I AM FEST is very near and dear to my heart. I’ve been watching it grow from a small collection of artists and bands when it made its debut at the Congress Theater, to 108 different bands competing for just two slots on the final lineup. Every year it gets a little bigger by finding new friends and fans to help make the local Chicago music scene closer and stronger.
